This Memorial Day Weekend, we had the pleasure of providing entertainment for the beautiful Nantucket wedding of Lexi and Ben at The Chanticleer. The Chanticleer provided an enchanting backdrop for this special day, with its rich history and romantic ambiance.
The Chanticleer, originally opened as a small tea house at the turn of the century, is now one of the premier Nantucket wedding venues. Known for its lush gardens and intimate dining spaces, it has earned a reputation as one of the island’s most romantic destinations.
The venue’s organic gardens supply fresh herbs, flowers, berries, and seasonal vegetables, while the extensive wine list features some of the finest wines from around the world.
Capturing the magic in photo and video were Rebecca Love, one of the premier Nantucket wedding photographers, and B. Remembered, whose lenses immortalized the day’s precious moments.
Event Highlights
Ceremony & Cocktail Hour
The ceremony took place just down the street from The Chanticleer. Guests enjoyed a short, picturesque walk to the front gardens of The Chanticleer, where they were greeted with cocktails and appetizers.
Cocktail hour was held in the front gardens under perfect blue skies. We set the ambiance with live acoustic music spanning every genre from jazz to country to pop, creating a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere. It was the perfect way to start the celebrations and set the tone for the evening.
Dinner
As cocktail hour came to a close, the father of the bride gave a warm welcome speech, inviting everyone to the back garden for dinner.
The back garden was the perfect setting for an al fresco dining experience, where all 90 guests enjoyed more live acoustic music from Joseph & Erika while they dined on excellent dishes prepared by the in-house catering team. The mood and the vibes were high!
Dancing
Following dinner, the celebrations moved inside where we had the honor of performing the special dances, which had a distinctly country flavor.
Lexi and Ben's first dance was performed live by the Joseph & Erika Band, with a custom arrangement of Luke Combs' "Still." Then, Lexi and her father danced to a live version of Tim McGraw's "My Little Girl," and Ben and his mother danced to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts.
Finally, it was time to open up the dance floor! Our 5-piece band hit the stage and rocked the party all night with a mix of dance floor hits from every decade, including songs by Zac Brown Band, Van Morrison, Garth Brooks, and Noah Kahan.
A special highlight was incorporating traditional Greek music for the father of the bride and his family, adding a unique and personal touch to the evening.
After an epic dance set, guests were invited to continue the festivities at Wade Cottages, ensuring the party didn't stop!
