A Stunning September Wedding at Sugarloaf Mountain

Updated: Aug 13

We had the absolute pleasure of providing the musical backdrop for Shannon and Caleb’s breathtaking September wedding at Sugarloaf Mountain Resort in scenic Carrabasett Valley, ME. It was a day filled with love, music, and beautiful fall colors—a truly unforgettable experience!

Sugarloaf Mountain Resort, known for its stunning ski slopes and vibrant fall colors, served as the perfect canvas for this romantic celebration. With its charming ski lodge vibe and picturesque settings, the resort offered a dreamy backdrop for the day’s events.

The talented Erica Godino from Closer North Wedding Photography captured every moment beautifully, and the day was expertly filmed by Yours Truly Media, ensuring that every special memory was preserved.

Event Highlights

Ceremony

The ceremony took place on the beach at the foot of the ski slope underneath an arch beautifully adorned with florals by The Bankery. The majestic views of the mountain and autumn leaves created a stunning backdrop.

We performed a live acoustic version of "Dressed Up In White" by CAL as Shannon walked down the aisle, setting a serene and heartfelt tone for their vows.

Cocktail Hour

Next, we smoothly transitioned right into the cocktail hour, which was held in the same beautiful outdoor setting at the foot of the ski slope and featured tasty bites and handcrafted cocktails.

We played live acoustic versions of classic and modern pop, rock, and soul, including music by Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, and Phillip Phillips, creating a lively yet intimate atmosphere that had everyone smiling and enjoying the sunshine and surroundings.

Dinner/Reception

The reception was held in the lodge under a canopy of string lights that created an intimate and cozy vibe. Entertainment for the evening featured our top-notch 7-piece live band.

Things kicked off with Shannon and Caleb’s first dance, a full band version of "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" by Frankie Valli, which really set the stage for a night of dancing and celebration.

The emotional highlights were the special dances—Shannon’s father joined the band onstage to sing “In My Life” by The Beatles before a heartfelt dance with his daughter, and Caleb and his mother chose the soulful "Nothing Can Change This Love" by Sam Cooke.

After some dinner, it was time to get down and party! The band played a mix of Motown, Disco, classic rock, and modern hits, keeping the dance floor packed all night. Highlights of the night included “Waterfalls” by TLC, “Twist and Shout” by The Beatles, and “My Own Worst Enemy” by LIT.

The evening wrapped up with an afterparty at a local bar, where the celebration continued and we were thrilled to join as special guests of the couple.

After all the festivities, it was such a joy to see Shannon and Caleb basking in the glow of the day and enjoy their company as friends.
