We were thrilled to bring our Live Music + DJ combo to Meaghan and John's beautiful July wedding at The Groton Inn in Groton, MA.
This charming venue, nestled in the heart of Massachusetts and with whom we've had the pleasure of working with on a number of occasions, set the perfect stage for a memorable celebration of love.
The Groton Inn, known for its historical significance and breathtaking scenery, was an impeccable choice for Meaghan and John. This venue, with its elegant charm and award-winning service, offered a bucolic backdrop for their special day.
Guests were treated to a picturesque landscape of rolling green hills and pastures, which provided a cozy, intimate setting for both the ceremony and the reception. The beauty of the day was captured in excellent fashion by photographer Esther Mathieu.
Event Highlights
Ceremony
The ceremony was a simple but elegant affair held outdoors under a stylishly decorated arch. Copper Penny Flowers added a touch of nature's beauty with exquisite floral arrangements that complemented the lush surroundings.
We provided live acoustic music for the entirety of the ceremony, including a rendition of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” for Meaghan’s walk down the aisle.
Cocktail Hour
Guests enjoyed a variety of handcrafted cocktails in the inn’s charming courtyard space, mingling under string lights that added a magical touch to the evening. We played a mix of upbeat jazz standards, classic rock, and country tunes to set the perfect tone for the rest of the evening’s festivities.
Meaghan and John also chose to utilize the courtyard for their wedding party introductions and first dance, a live acoustic version of Chris Stapleton’s “Joy of My Life.”
Dinner/Reception
The reception took place in the inn’s cozy Prescott Ballroom. The room buzzed with excitement as guests dined on a menu provided by the in-house catering team.
We played a mix of romantic ballads and country songs, with some special requests from the bride and groom including the Kenny Chesney/Grace Potter duet “You + Tequila” and Eric Church’s “Like Jesus Does”.
Following some rousing, heartfelt toasts, Meaghan and John enjoyed a piece of their delicious wedding cake, a classic and elegant confection created by local baker Rafaella Gutermann of Dolce Amar.
After sharing a dance with each of their parents, it was time to party! DJ Erika spun a mix of classic oldies, Motown, and 90s R&B to keep the party going strong.
Per usual, the night ended with a raucous set of Acoustic Singalongs, including wild versions of “Shout” and “I Want It That Way”, a particular favorite of John and his groomsmen.
